A New Declaration

Jump on board for this movement…’If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?’ (Psalm 11:3)

“Because we honor justice and the common good, we will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other antilife act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family. We will fully and ungrudgingly render to Caesar what is Caesar’s. But under no circumstances will we render to Caesar what is God’s.”

Finally, some Sense.

Human DNA in Animals

•November 10, 2009 • Leave a Comment

British scientists begin a new study on Tuesday to consider how human DNA is used in animal experiments and to determine what the boundaries of such controversial science might be. Though experts have been swapping human and animal DNA for years – like replacing animal genes with human genes or growing human organs in animals – scientists at the Academy of Medical Sciences want to make sure the public is aware of what is happening in laboratories before proceeding further.

“It sounds yucky, but it may be well worth doing if it’s going to lead to a cure for something horrible,” said Robin Lovell-Badge, a stem cell expert at Britain’s National Institute for Medical Research, and a member of the group conducting the study.

“At a media briefing in London, Lovell-Badge said there were two main types of experiments: altering an animal’s genes by adding human DNA or replacing a specific animal sequence with its human counterpart. Several years ago, human genes were added to a mouse to create a model of Down’s syndrome for scientists to study how the disease evolves, which could lead to potential treatments.”

The article goes on to mention growing “human embroys” in empty cow and rabbit eggs and destroying them. It also touches on the fear people have about giving animals human brain cells.

Goldstone Report Endorsed by UN

The Goldstone Reports is directed at Israel’s supposed war crimes, and makes a token mention of Hamas crimes.

“Following a two-day debate, 114 countries voted for the resolution and 18 voted against, including Israel, the US, Germany, Holland, Canada, Australia and several eastern European nations. Another 44 abstained, including most EU countries, who sought unsuccessfully to soften the resolution’s language prior to the vote.”

Dismantling America

Thomas Sowell wrote this – Part 2 is the focus of my comments, and it is a stunning look into the minds of the supporters of the current administration. There are deeper implications though: in a nation that is abandoning God, there is left a vacuum. People are desparate to fill that sense of emptiness, and the false hope offered by what we think we can achieve on our own is left to fill it. With disasterous results, we can be sure.

There is a new religion: it is difficult yet to put a finger on it exactly since it is still forming, but I think it is the ungodly rebirth of the false religions of the past and present that will come together in a very bitter stew of pseudo self-empowerment. (You can count on our new ruling class as the authority that has a mind to take the place of God in the people’s hearts.) This religion will be served by the ladel-full to willing nations who cling to the front of green and socialistic movements, and eventually forcefed to all when the system of control is in place. Then the nasty aftertaste…

Here are both parts of Mr. Sowell’s piece:

Part 1 – Barack Obama has not only said that he is out to “change the United States of America,” the people he has been associated with for years have expressed in words and deeds their hostility to the values, the principles and the people of this country.

Part 2 – “M

The director of that program rose immediately and responded indignantly and sarcastically to what I had just said — and the faculty gave him a standing ovation.

After the faculty meeting was over, I told a colleague that I was stunned and baffled by the faculty’s fierce response to my simply saying that we needed more information before voting.

“Tom, you don’t understand,” he said. “Those people need to believe in that man. They have invested so much hope and trust in him that they cannot let you stir up any doubts.”

Hate crimes law – ungodly, unconstitutional, unnecessary

•October 30, 2009 • Leave a Comment

A Christian evangelist who was once arrested, jailed, and charged under Pennsylvania’s hate crimes law says the federal hate crimes bill signed into law by President Obama is one of the most dangerous laws in the history of the United States.

With the stroke of President Obama’s pen yesterday, the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act became law. It creates additional penalties for violent crimes motivated by the victim’s “actual or perceived” gender, “gender identity,” sexual orientation, or disability.

Michael Marcavage, director of Philadelphia-based Repent America, was one of 11 Christians who were jailed and charged with a hate crime for carrying Bible verse banners and preaching at a 2004 homosexual pride event in Philadelphia. The charges were later dismissed — and in 2008, the state’s Supreme Court ruled the law had been passed illegally by the Pennsylvania legislature.

Marcavage says the new federal hate crimes law is yet another move by the federal government to “silence Christians.”

“What this bill does is [seek] to shut down those who dare to speak against the sin of homosexuality with the hope and freedom that is found in Jesus Christ,” says the Christian activist.
